Classic American Folk Ensemble
The world-famous and much-loved folk group, The New
Christy Minstrels made their national television debut on The Andy
Williams Show more than 44 years ago. Since then, under the direction of
Randy Sparks, their many accomplishments include Grammy awards, numerous
gold records and entertaining at The White House.
The 7-member ensemble opened the door for stars like Kenny Rogers, John
Denver and Kim Carnes. Still engaging audiences around the globe are the
original members, Randy Sparks, Clarence Treat, Jackie Miller Davidson,
Dolan Ellis and Art Podell. Becky Jo Benson and Rick Hill are the two
newest members of this treasured group.
With all the old magic still there, The New Christy Minstrels are
delighting their fans and creating new ones at every performance.
